Welcome to the eMusic Developer Network!

The eMusic API is LIVE.

Do you want access to millions of audio samples, audio books, eMusic charts, album covers, community ratings, artist information, editorial reviews, user reviews and a lot more?

The eMusic API allows anyone to build their own eMusic-integrated applications. The API provides simple methods that developers can use to tap into our unique functionality and rich data sets. Using the API, developers and users can:

  • Search artists, albums, tracks and audio books
  • Look up community and user ratings
  • Integrate "eMusic Top 40" charts
  • Discover similar, related and influential artists
  • Browse editorial content, reviews, "editor's picks"
  • Grab album covers and song samples
These are just a few examples of the functionality and data that we are exposing to the greater developer community.

Additionally, we are constantly adding and refining methods. Don't hesitate to drop us a line if you have ideas for new methods! (And don't hesitate to drop us a line if you have questions or comments, too.)

Why are we doing this?

We want to help you build kick-ass music applications that benefit both our esteemed subscribers and the general music-loving community at large.

Please consider letting us know about your favorite creations? Thank you!
